Team Members, called Angels, make Hesed possible by volunteering in many capacities. People with and without disabilities who have a variety of gifts are needed, and wanted, on the team. Team members come from all over North Carolina and sometimes from out of state to serve our Hesed guests. Read this information and apply to serve the Hesed guests!
Applications are welcomed from persons who have previously attended Hesed Retreat OR participate in a 4th day community associated with Via de Cristo, Pilgrimage, Arise, the Walk to Emmaus, Tres Dias, Kairos or similar retreat. We strongly encourage everyone who wants to be a Team Member to attend a Hesed Weekend as a guest first because this weekend is unique from these other retreats.
There are meetings to plan for the Hesed Retreat. At these meetings we pray, worship and and learn about how we have been called to serve the guests.. It is very important that all team members attend these Saturdays so that we are prepared for the Hesed Weekend.
Team members arrive at Camp Carefee at 5:00 PM on Friday afternoon.
Team members stay until 4:00 PM on Sunday to help clean up.
